BIOGRAPHY

1934 Zurab Tsereteli was born on January 4 in Tbilisi. His father  - Konstantin Ivanovich Tsereteli, mother – Tamara Semenovna Tsereteli (born Nizharadze). His mother's sister Shushanik Nizharadze raised the children of the brother and sister.

1937 The maternal grandfather Simeon was arrested and shot.

1942 Zurab enters the Second Tbilisi Secondary school. He has a special interest in drawing. His first teacher and first mentor on the way to the world of art is his uncle, the artist George Nizharadze. In his house the boy meets many famous artists of Georgia. Among them are David Kakabadze, Sergo Kobuladze, Ucha Japaridze.

1952 Zurab Tsereteli enteres the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts. He meets with  his future wife Inessa Andronikashvili.

1957  The death of Turandot Andronikashvili – Inessa's sister.

1958 The registration of the marriage of Inessa Andronikashvili, an orphan, and Zurab Tsereteli. His work "The Song of Tbilisi" painted as a diploma work was rejected for "formalism". He defends his diploma with an excellent mark by  another work created within in a week. He was hired by the Institute of History, Archeology and Ethnography of the Georgian Academy of Sciences as an artist-architect.

1959  His daughter Elena (Lika) was born.

1963–1964  Tsereteli works as a senior master at the Design Workshop of the Tbilisi Art and Production Factory of the Art Foundation of Georgia. He became the Artistic Head and Chairman of the Monumental Section of the Artists’ Union  of Georgia.

1967 He completes the work at the artistic and monumental design of the resort complex of the city of Pitsunda. Tsereteli became the Chief Artist of the Resorts of Georgia, decorates resort complexes in the cities of Gagra, Sukhumi, Borjomi and others. A solo exhibition of the artist is held in Tbilisi. He was awarded the title of the "Honored Artist of the Georgian SSR"

1967–1968 Tsereteli works at the design of the Cinema House in Moscow. His  first trip was to Paris. Meeting with Charles de Gaulle. He visits the workshop of Pablo Picasso and meets the master. "This young artist Zurab has a wonderful beginning. He perfectly feels color, generalizes the form. I see him as a future great painter." (Pablo Picasso)

1969 He creates mosaic and sculptural-spatial compositions on the walls of the building of the Palace of Trade Unions in Tbilisi (Georgia), the mosaic pool "Seabed" in the memorial complex in Ulyanovsk. The death of his Uncle George Nizharadze.

1970 Tsereteli was awarded the State Prize of the USSR. He was appointed the  Chief Artist of the USSR Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1970–1980). He is engaged in the interior decoration of buildings of the USSR embassies abroad

1973 Tsereteli was responsible for the  artistic design of the resort complex in the city of Adler and created three-dimensional and monumental-decorative compositions. "On my own behalf and on behalf of the muralists of Mexico, I congratulate Zurab Tsereteli for the artistic merits of his works in the Palace of Culture of the Trade Unions in Tbilisi and the resort complex in Adler. With great plastic power and creative imagination Zurab Tsereteli comprehends the complex technique of wall painting. I affirm that he has entered the vast expanses of the art of the future, the art that combines sculpture and painting. The work of Zurab Tsereteli has gone beyond the national framework and acquires international meaning" (David Alfaro Siqueiros). Impressed by what he saw in Tbilisi and Adler, David Siqueiros invited Zurab Tsereteli to work together at the creation of a children's town in Mexico. Unfortunately, the project was not implemented because of the death of Siqueiros

1974 Tsereteli executes the interior decoration of the USSR Embassy in Brazil. He meets Oscar Niemeyer during the construction of the new capital

1976 During his working trips he visits Japan, Portugal, France. Tsereteli becomes a Laureate of the Lenin Prize

1978 The first grandson Vasily was born. Tsereteli was awarded the title of the "People's Artist of the Georgian SSR". His trip to the United States at the invitation of the Brockport College of Art and Science of the New York State University (New York, USA). He teaches at the University. He is working at a new sculptural composition "Happiness for Children of the Whold"; receives the title of the  honorary Distinguished Professor of Arts at the Brockport College of Art and Science, New York State University

1979 The unveiling of the monument “Happiness to Children of the World” dedicated to the Special Olympics (Brockport, USA). He transfers his royalty to the Foundation for Support to Physically Challenged Children. He presents as a gift to the students of the Brockport University his sculptural composition “Science and Education to the World” (“Prometheus”) installed in front of the University library. He was elected as a Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts 

The late 1970s His first works in the technique of cloisonné enamel and experiments to expand the color palette of enamel works.

1980 Tsereteli was appointed the Chief Artist of the XXII Olympic Games in Moscow. He begins his many years work on the monumental complex "The History of Georgia" (Tbilisi). He was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples. He was awarded the honorary title the "People's Artist of the USSR"

1981–1982 Tsereteli becomes the Artistic Director for Monumental and Decorative Arts of the Art Foundation of Georgia. He received the title of the Professor of the Tbilisi Academy of Arts. He was appointed the Head of the Monumental Art Creative Workshop of the USSR Academy of Arts in Tbilisi. He becomes a Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR

1983–1985 In honor of the 200th anniversary of signing of the Georgievsky  Treaty between Russia and Georgia there was unveiled his  monument "Friendship Forever" (Moscow), architect Andrei Voznesensky. 1987 The second grandson Zurab was born. Tsereteli was elected  the Chairman of the  Designers’ Union of Georgia

1988 He creates the sculptural composition "To Break the Wall of Distrust" (London, UK). He starts his work at the sculptural composition "St. Nina" (Tbilisi). He was elected a Full Member of the USSR Academy of Arts

1990 The unveiling of the monument "Good Defeats Evil" in front of the United Nations Building (New York). He was awarded the title "The Hero of the Socialist Labor". He was elected as the Academician-Secretary of the Design Department of the USSR Academy of Arts

1991 His mother's death

1992 Tsereteli becomes the President of the Moscow International Foundation for Support to UNESCO. He was appointed the Head of the Design Creative Workshop of the Russian Academy of Arts

1993 Tsereteli becomes the Artistic Director of the Memorial Complex on the Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow

1994 The official opening of the monument "St. Nina" (Tbilisi). At the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris there was installed a model of his monument "The Birth of a New Man" (Paris). He became the Chevalier of the Order of Peoples' Friendship. He became a Winner of the UNESCO Picasso Prize. He was awarded the title of the "People's Artist of the Russian Federation". He was appointed  the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts. He is responsible for the artistic supervision and coordination of work for the rebirth of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow

1995 The inauguration of the monumental composition "The Birth of a New Man" (Seville, Spain). The opening of the Memorial Complex on the Poklonnaya Hill in honor of the 50th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (Moscow)

1996 Tsereteli was appointed the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. He creates a number of sculptural compositions and implements the design for the Moscow Zoo. He was elected a Full Member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences. His   monument "Victory" ("Marbelliano") was erected in Marbella (Spain). He was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art. He was awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland, III Rank, as well as  was appointed the Acting President of the Russian Academy of Arts

1997 Opening of the monument "The 300th anniversary of the Russian Navy" ("Peter I", Moscow). He was elected the President of the Russian Academy of Arts. He executes the artistic design for the Manezh Square (Moscow)

1998 The death of his wife Inessa Andronikashvili. He was elected the  Corresponding Member of San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Madrid, Spain). He was elected a Full Member of the Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic. He was awarded the Vermeil Medal - the highest award of the city of Paris and the Grand Bronze Medal of the city of Paris for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of culture and art, as well as mutual understanding of the peoples of Russia and Georgia with France. The solo exhibition of Zurab Tsereteli "Dedication to Inessa"  took place in the Maly Manege (Moscow)

1999 Tsereteli establishes the first in Russia Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Petrovka, 25), becomes its Director and donates to the Museum his personal collection of works of the XX century art. The completion of the work at the recreation of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. 

2000 The granddaughter Victoria was born. He created the sculptural images of Leo Tolstoy and Yuri Gagarin for the ensemble of squares in Montevideo (Uruguay). He becomes a Winner of the Contemporary Art Prize 2000 "International Recognition" - "Golden Hand" (France). He was awarded the Cross of Honor of the Charitable Interregional Association of Veterans of the French Resistance "Combatant Volunteer"

2001 The wedding of his grandson Vasily and Kira Pilar Liaño Sacarello. The opening of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts "Zurab Tsereteli Art Gallery" (Moscow); presentation of a series of his bronze reliefs "My Contemporaries" - a gallery of images of prominent figures of Russian culture of the XX century

2002 Tsereteli was elected a Foreign Corresponding Member of the French Academy of Fine Arts (the Academy of the Immortals) (Paris). The unveiling of the monument to Nikolay Gogol (Rome). He was awarded the Order of Gabriela Mistral of the Government of Chile for special services in the field of education and culture. His father's death

2003 The great-grandson Alexander was born. The opening of the sculptural image of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archbishop of Myra of Lycia in the city of Bari (Italy). The unveiling of the monument to Princess Olga (to the 1100th anniversary of the city of Pskov). The monument to the founder of the Academy of Arts Ivan Shuvalov in honor of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. The monument "Honoré de Balzac" in the city of Agde (France). The enamel panels and interior design for the metro station "Victory Park" (Moscow)

2004 The opening of the monument to the Cossack Kharko (Kharkov). He became a laureate of the State Prize of Georgia. He was awarded the title of the Honorary Professor of Moscow State University

2005 Vasily and Kira had the artist’s great-grandson  Nikolai. The solo exhibition of Tsereteli in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh" (St. Petersburg). The presentation of the sculptural composition "The Holocaust" as a gift to Israel from Russia installed in the sculpture garden of the President Palace (Jerusalem). The inauguration of the monument to General Charles de Gaulle (Moscow). The opening of the monument to Alexander Peresvet, the hero of the Battle of Kulikovo (Borisoglebsky village, Yaroslavl region). The opening of the monument "St. George" (Tbilisi). The opening of the monument to the founder of the Moscow State University Ivan Shuvalov in front of the building of the Fundamental Library of the Moscow State University. 2006 Tsereteli was awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland, II Rank. The  solo exhibition of Tsereteli in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manezh" (Moscow). The inauguration of the monument dedicated to the Struggle Against International Terrorism (Bayonne, New Jersey, USA). He was elected a member of the Public   Chamber of the Russian Federation. The unveiling of the monument to Peter I (St. Petersburg). The unveiling of the monument to Irinarch the Recluse, the monk who blessed Minin and Pozharsky before the Moscow liberation campaign of the militia  (the village of Borisoglebsky, Yaroslavl region). The unveiling of the monument to Pope John Paul II (Ploermel, France)

2007 The celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts.

On the initiative of the UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli this date has been included in the annals of UNESCO memorable dates  marked throughout the world. The solo exhibition of Tsereteli in the exhibition halls of the UNESCO Headquarters (Paris). He was awarded the UNESCO Picasso Gold Medal. "UNESCO recognizes the inspired leadership that Zurab Tsereteli has demonstrated over the years in promoting the principles of mutual respect, understanding and tolerance through the arts. He showed how art can promote a dialogue between cultures and peoples helping to build peace and security. This initiative is yet another expression of Mr. Tsereteli's deep commitment to the ideals  of the UNESCO mission" (the Director-General of UNESCO Koichiro Matsuura). 

The opening of the monument to Ichiro Hatoyama (Tokyo). The unveiling of the bust of Sergio Vieira de Mello (Geneva). "All people of good will, each in their professional field, not only politicians and diplomats, should help the UN in this work. There is no doubt that you have contributed not only as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, but also as a sculptor and as a citizen. I believe that it is difficult to overestimate the role of art in the task of transforming the world for the better" (UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon). The creation of enamel and stained-glass panels and design for the Trubnaya metro station (Moscow). The opening of the monument to Prince Oleg of Ryazan (Ryazan). He was awarded the Order of Bernardo O'Higgins in the degree of "Cavalier" (Chile). The creation of the sculptural composition "The Night at the Ipatiev House" commemorating the execution of the Russian royal family

2008 Vasily and Kira had the artist’s great-grandson Philip. The creation of the sculptural composition "Wives of the Decembrists. The Gates of Fate". Tsereteli was re-elected for a new term as a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation

2009 Zurab Jr. and Lola had the artist’s great-granddaughter Maria Isabella. The opening of the State Museum of Modern Art of the Russian Academy of Arts (Moscow). The construction of the Chapel of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky. The installation of the sculptural image of  the Patriarch Alexy II in front of the entrance to the Chapel (Moscow). Tsereteli was elected an Active Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Austria). The Winner of the public prize of the “Izvestia" newspaper - "Fame". He was presented the first public prize "The Golden Bridge" for his significant contribution to strengthening and promotion of cultural relations between the Italian Republic and the Russian Federation

2010 Tsereteli was awarded the title of the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor (France). The installation of a memorial plaque to the victims of the terrorist act in Beslan on September 1-3, 2004 (Moscow). Tsereteli was presented with a Special Award of the city of New York as one of the outstanding representatives of the Russian-speaking world community, who made a significant contribution to the cultural rapprochement and dialogue between the United States and Russia. For his outstanding contribution to art, he was awarded one of the most prestigious American awards in the field of culture - the Gold Medal of Honor, annually awarded by the National Society of Arts of the United States. Tsereteli has became the first Russian artist to receive this award. Within the framework of the project the "Year Russia-France 2010" he participates in Paris in the exhibitions: "The Russian Academy of Arts - the Space of  Academic School" (Senate, Green house of the Luxembourg Palace); "Russian Academy of Arts - Personalities, Events, Facts of History" (Academy of Fine Arts of the Institute of France); "Dialogue of Cultures in the Space of the Academic School" (UNESCO Headquarters); exhibits his works at the Russian National Exhibition at the Grand Palais. He was awarded the Order for Services to the Motherland, I Rank. The opening of the sculptural composition "The Musketeers" (Condom, Gascony, France)

2011 As part of the Russia-Italy Cross Year, his solo exhibitions were held in Rome, Palermo and Ancona. The exhibition of enamels and small sculpture by Zurab Tsereteli has been organized in the Konstantinovsky Palace of Strelna near St. Petersburg. He was awarded the highest award of the Russian Academy of Arts - the Golden Cross "For Service to Art"; as well as Giuseppe Sciacca International Prize in the field of culture for 2011.

2012 The establishment of the Museum of Modern Art in Tbilisi (Georgia), the opening of which was preceded by a major solo exhibition of the artist. The opening of the monuments to the poetess Marina Tsvetaeva (Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, France), to the outstanding reformer of Russia Pyotr A. Stolypin (Ulyanovsk), the sculpture "The Founding Fathers of the European Union" (Metz, France). He was awarded the Cross of the Spanish Order “For Civil Services”. The Honorary medal “The Golden Century” of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Laureate of VII All-Russian competition in the field of contemporary visual art "Innovation" in the nomination "For Support to Contemporary Art in Russia"

2013 The creation of a number of monumental enamel works - sculptural compositions "Malevich" and "Kandinsky", as well as the first monumental enamel composition dedicated to women "Bouquet" (Moscow). The unveiling of the monument to the Apostle Paul (Veria, Greece), the monument to the hero of the Great Patriotic War Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya (Ruza, Russia) and the monument to the famous Georgian and Russian actor Ramaz Chkhikvadze (Tbilisi, Georgia).

2014 Tsereteli was awarded the Order for Services to the Fatherland, IV Rank. Having previously been awarded all other ranks of the Order, from that moment on he is its full Chevalier. The opening of the sculptural composition "Clowns" (Morciano di Romagna, Italy). The UNESCO Five Continents Commemorative Medal was awarded to him for his contribution to world culture and in honor of the 60th anniversary of Russia's membership in the Organization. The unveiling of the bust of the Emperor Nicholas II (Banja Luka, Serbia), the monument to Pope John Paul II near the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris (Paris, France). In connection with the jubilee his solo exhibitions were held in Moscow, St. Petersburg (Russian Museum), Ufa, Novocheboksarsk, Tver, Murom, Yoshkar-Ola, Zurich, Astrakhan, Vladimir.

2015 Tsereteli was awarded the regalia of the Honorary Member of the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts and was appointed an Advisor to the Director of the National Art Museum of China for International Cooperation. The opening of the monument to the soldiers of the 7th Bauman  militia division  (Moscow). The monument to the eminent Russian writer Gleb Uspensky (Tula), the sculptural composition “Uncle Styopa – policeman” (Samara), the bronze composition “The Dream in the Sky” in the Museum of the IKAO Headquarters (Montreal, Canada), There were installed the busts of the Georgian theater and film director G. Lordkipanidze (Tbilisi, Georgia) and the military pilot and the Hero of Russia A.S. Maslov (the settlement of Provodnik near Kolomna). The Memorial Plaque for the Noble Dynasty was unveiled in St. Petersburg. He was awarded the Honorary Cross of Culture and Art of Albert Schweitzer Society (Austria); the Honorary civil order “The Silver Star “The 70th Anniversary of the Great Victory”. He received an award of the European Chamber of Science and Industry “For the great contribution to art”, as well as the Honorary Award of the All-Russian Public Movement “ For Preservation of the People”

2016 The assembly of Tsereteli’s 126 m tall “The Birth of the New World” sculptural composition dedicated to Christopher Columbus was completed in Arecibo (Puerto Rico) – the second part of the major project “How Europe Discovered America” in honor of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of the New World. The first of the project’s two monuments “The Birth of the New Man” was unveiled in Seville (Spain) in 1995. In Tver there was an opening of the monument to the poets of the 1960s. In the Republic of Altai there was unveiled the bust of the Empress Elizabeth. In Brinkov Cossack Cadet Corps of the Krasnodar Region was installed his monument to the centurion M.Y. Chaika whose name  has the Cadet Corps. The opening of Zurab Tsereteli House-Museum in Peredelkino near Moscow. He was awarded the Order “Honor and Glory of Great Russia” of the “Power of the Fatherland” Foundation, as well the Order of Karl Faberge;  the honorary award of the Republic of Bulgaria – the Commemorative Sign “In Honor of the 1150th Anniversary of  the Baptism of Bulgaria”, He is a holder of the Honorary Sign of the Governor of the Tver Region “For the Benefit of the Land of Tver”. Tsereteli was awarded the title of the Honored Art Worker of Karachaevo-Chercassian Republic of the Russian Federation and the Sign “For the Services in the Promotion of Culture and Art” of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS countries. 

The opening in the city of Novomoskovsk (Tula region) of  a memorial bust of the outstanding commander, Colonel-General, Hero of the Soviet Union P.A. Belov, who liberated the city from the Nazi invaders in 1941. For his personal great contribution to the work for patriotic education, the manifestation of patriotism in the creative activity Tsereteli received an honorary award - the Commemorative Medal "The Patriot of Russia", established in accordance with the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation.

For his large-scale charitable activities he was awarded the Medal and Prize named after the Academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences V.I. Burakovsky – “for the implementation of the project for the active involvement of children with congenital heart defects in the creative process at the stage of postoperative recovery at the A.N. Bakulev Scientific Center for Cardiovascular Surgery. The monument to the classic of Georgian literature Shota Rustaveli was unveiled in St. Petersburg. His solo exhibition was held in Verona as part of the project "Knowledge of the Good", dedicated to the 260th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Academy of Arts of Verona.

2017 The year of the 260th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts headed by  Zurab Tsereteli since 1997. The whole year was dedicated to holding the jubilee  events, the President of the Academy gave countless interviews to media representatives and at the same time continued to work. His solo exhibitions took place in Chersonese, Novy Urengoy, Lipetsk (Russia), Cannes (France).

His memorial plaque was installed in memory of the prominent statesman and diplomat Alexandra Kollontai in Moscow. The bust of the writer Ivan I. Lazhechnikov was unveiled in Kolomna. The opening of the "Alley of Rulers" dedicated to the history of Russia took place in Moscow. The Alley consists of more than 40 busts of the rulers of the country of all historical epochs - from Rurik to the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin. The memorial plaque to the diplomat and statesman V.V. Kuznetsov was installed in Moscow. The sculptural composition "The Meeting Place" was installed in Tula. The monument to Alexander Pushkin was opened in the city of Apatity, Murmansk region. The opening of the sculptural composition "Warrior-skier" took place in the Patriot Park near Moscow. The sculpture "Mercy" is installed in Orenburg on the territory of the local hospital. Tsereteli was awarded the title of the Honorary Worker of Education of the Russian Federation.

2018 Tsereteli was presented with the regalia of the Honorary Member of the Chinese-Russian Academy of Fine Arts. He was awarded the commemorative medal "200 years of the Beginning of the Construction of St. Isaac's Cathedral. 1818-2018" in St. Petersburg. He created a monument to the Russian diplomat, poet, playwright, composer Alexander  Griboyedov. His 2.1m high bronze sculptural composition stands in the Tbilisi State Russian Drama Theater named after A. Griboyedov. The exhibition of his works was held in the Kingdom of Bahrain as part of the International Art Fair "Art Bahrain Across Borders 2018".  His monument to the ballet dancer Rudolf Nureyev was unveiled in Kazan . For the Altai Territory he created a monument to the poet of the 1960s Robert Rozhdestvensky. His monument to Alexander Solzhenitsyn was unveiled in the writer's homeland in Kislovodsk in the year of his 100th anniversary. Tsereteli was awarded the "For Contribution to the Russian Culture" Badge of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

2019 The first major retrospective exhibition of Tsereteli's works in the UK timed to the artist's 85th anniversary was opened at the Saatchi Gallery in London. The   exhibition "Personalities - Zurab Tsereteli" in Liechtenstein, the exhibition "Magic Realism" in Baku, the exhibition "MONUMENTAL" in Geneva. He was presented with the Letter of Thanks from the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Region D.V. Sviridov. His master class and an exhibition of his works were held in the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Paris. He created a monument to his ancestor - the Russian diplomat, Consul General of Russia in Plovdiv, Prince Alexei Tseretelev in the village of the same name in Bulgaria. His  sculptural composition "Justice and Mercy" was unveiled on the territory of the office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation in Moscow. He was awarded the Azerbaijani Order "Dostlug" ("Friendship"). The  commemorative medal "Z.K. Tsereteli.  The President of the Russian Academy of Arts" from the Design Department of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Volga-Vyatka Mint. He was awarded the honorary title "The Hero of Labor". He was awarded the Commemorative Medal "The 200th Anniversary of Ivan Turgenev".  His sculptural composition "The Monument to Future Stars" was unveiled in GITIS (Moscow). He created a monument to the composer Dmitri Shostakovich installed in Samara. He created a memorial bust of the Hero of the Soviet Union, journalist, poet Husen Andrukhaev installed in the building of the Writers’ Union  of Russia. His sculptural portrait of the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna was placed at the Alexandrinsky Theater (St. Petersburg). Tsereteli received the Letter of Appreciation from the Mayor of Moscow Sergey S. Sobyanin "for his great contribution to the implementation of urban improvement programs and the formation of a comfortable urban environment in Moscow in 2019".

2020 The ceremony of cancellation of a commemorative postage stamp dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Yalta Conference, which depicts the sculptural composition "The Big Three" (installed near the Livadia Palace in Yalta), took place in Moscow. The solo exhibition at the Palais des Nations in Geneva (Palais des Nations, Geneva). He was awarded the Order “The Star of the Virtuoso” for his outstanding work in the field of art, versatile talent and worthy representation of Russian art in the competitive environment of international professional communities. He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. The medal "Interparliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States. 25 years". His   sculptural composition "Peter the Great" was unveiled in the residential complex "Petrovsky Park" in Moscow. He created a tombstone for on the grave of a member of the USSR Union of Writers, laureate of the USSR State Prize, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Andrey Dementiev. He was awarded the highest state award of the Republic of Serbia - the Order of the Serbian Banner of the First Rank for his work on the mosaic decoration of the Church of St. Sava in Belgrade, as well as for his special merits in the development of international relations between the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation. In the year of the 75th anniversary of the USSR Victory in the Great Patriotic War Tsereteli’s monument "Waiting for a Soldier" was unveiled in Togliatti. He created a monument to the patron saint of navigators and travelers St. Nicholas the Wonderworker installed in Nikolaevsk-on-the Amur (Khabarovsk Region).

2021 Tsereteli was elected the Honorary Member of the Russian Military Historical Society. The bust of Alexander Nevsky in St. Petersburg. The monument to Peter and Fevronia of Murom  (Russia). 

2022 The monument to Akaki Tsereteli (Georgia). The monument “The Childhood of Peter I” (Kaliningrad, Russia). The bust of the Soviet statesman N.S. Sizintsev (Buguruslan, Russia). The high relief of Ivan Bunin in Library N12 (Moscow). The “Butterfly” composition  in the enamel technique ( Moscow). The monument to St. Luke (Tashkent, Uzbekistan). 

2023 The monument to Peter I in Kemerovo (Russia). The monument to the composer Tikhon Khrennikov in Elets (Russia). 

2024  The monument to Petr Stolypin  in the Orel Region (Russia). The monument to the Emperor Alexander III in Kemerovo (Russia)
