The Russian Academy Of Arts

On November 8 and 15, 2023 the trainee of the Painting Creative Workshop of the Russian Academy of Arts in Moscow Alexander Schemelinsky gave his master classes in painting at the College of Arts in Delhi  and the National Gallery of Modern Art  in New Delhi.

During the master class Alexander Schemensky shared his experience, told about the basic principles of portrait painting, showed some professional techniques facilitating artists in the creation of artistic images.  He also specified the peculiarities of watercolor painting.  After the theoretic explanations the attendees had a possibility to use the knowledge in practice. The Indian participants noted, that the master class was a rare opportunity for them to observe how  the Russian artist was working at a canvas and many of them expressed their wish to learn painting in Russia. The event has been organized by Sergey Andriyaka Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts, Russian Embassy and the National Gallery of Modern Art in India.
