ACADEMICIANS TO YOUNG ARTISTS AND RESEARCHES: THE ALL-RUSSIAN CREATIVE AND EDUCATION PROJECT OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS WITHIN THE YEAR OF THE TEACHER AND TUTOR IN RUSSIA

The year of 2023, when we mark the 200th birth anniversary of one of the founders of Russian pedagogics Konstantin D. Ushinsky, by Edict N401 dated June 27, 2022 of the Russian President Vladimir Putin has been declared the Year of the Teacher and Tutor. In 2023 the Russian Academy of Arts (RAA) developed and started to implement the Creative and Education Project “Academicians to Young Artists and Researchers” approved by the Scientific and Methodological Council for Art Education and Presidium of the RAA.

 

The Project includes the arrangement and holding of master classes for training, creative meetings, practical studies and lectures of the Academy members for children and young people, teachers of creative art entities; as well as a number of cultural and educational events aimed at the historical, patriotic and spiritual upbringing of the younger generation by means of fine arts. The President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, members of the RAA Presidium and Academicians of all the art departments of the RAA are actively involved in the Project execution.

 

Vast is the Project geography stretching from St. Petersburg and Moscow to Siberia and the Far East. Of special concern is the collaboration with the Republic of Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic and Lugansk People’s Republic.

 

The goals of the Project are: preservation and development of traditions of the Russian academic school; strengthening of interaction between science and art education; promotion of educational activity and organizational unity of the educational and scientific processes; patriotic and moral upbringing of the younger generation; preservation of the historical memory and cultural heritage. At present a number of master classes have been organized in Moscow, Tula Region and the Republic of Crimea.
