THE WAY IN ART OF THE CREATIVE OSIPOV-FYODOROV DYNASTY: FILM-BIOGRAPHY https://youtu.be/TmQrQxfDRhY

The Conference dedicated to the art of costume is aimed at the study of costume design in theater and cinema, as well as the study of the haute couture art as an integral part of the world art history. In the 20th century many celebrated artists became authors of amazing costume designs who in partnership with avant-garde producers, composers and ballet masters opened a new page in the history of theater. One of the examples of such cooperation became Diaghilev ballet seasons. The time of constructivism has brought innovations not only into a theatrical costume, but also to an everyday fashion. The constructivists revealed a new significance of the costume sketch considered by them as an expression of a plastic idea. This approach influenced the founders of fashion houses of Christian Dior, Ives Saint Laurent and Pierre Cardin. The Conference is timed to the jubilee of the Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Maria Fyodorova who is a representative of the Osipov – Fyodorov noted dynasty of painters, graduate from the Moscow Textile Institute. The roots of her creativity are in the deep study of fine arts and culture, as well as rethinking of the folklore of different peoples. Her works in the field of costume and easel graphics are distinguished by the creative freedom and nobility of artistic designs, adherence to the national art traditions. The artist’s biography contains examples of theatrical, scenic and design costumes including a series of costumes for the Russian Song group, easel graphic series “Fair”, “Buffoons”, “Fabulous Animals”, Sirin Birds”.
