IN HONOR OF THE 70TH JUBILEE OF THE BELARUSIAN ARTIST, HONORARY MEMBER OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS VLADIMIR SAVICH
On April 16th, 2022 the Belarusian artist, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Vladimir Savich is marking his 70th jubilee.
After graduation fr om the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (Belarusian State Academy of Arts) Vladimir Savich started his teaching activity there. Still at the early state of his career as an artist he turned to the genre of illustrations for children’s books and revealed himself as a witty and observant author. Equally masterful in line and color, skillfully using the plane of a paper sheet the artist creates works that fit into the best genre traditions of the last century. Many of his works have become classics for both children and young artists. Vladimir Savich is an internationally recognized artist. He is a Member of the Belarusian Inion of Artists; Honored Artist of Belarus.
The Presidium and President of the Russian Academy of Arts congratulated Vladimir Savich on his 70th jubilee. The Letter of Greetings, in particular, runs:
“We know you as a brilliant graphic artist who has made illustrations to dozens of books, many of which received the most prestigious awards for the best artistic design. The Russian Academy of Arts highly appreciates your contribution to the teaching activity at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts wh ere you have been heading the Graphic Art Chair and sharing your precious experience with young artists for many years. The holder of numerous national and international prizes you are actively involved in exhibition activity representing the art of Belarus in various counties at a high level. Your works are in collections of major museums in Belarus and Russia, as well as in graphic art galleries of Slovakia and Finland.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts I wish you good health, creative energy and new achievements in your multi-sided work”.
