GEOGRAPHY OF ART: VIII INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE

The Russian Academy of Arts (RAA), Institute of Cinema and TV (GITR), Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INION RAS), Russian State University for the Humanities invite you to attend the VIII International Research Conference “Geography of Art”, that will take place in Moscow at the Russian Academy of Arts (19 Prechistenka street)   and Institute of Cinema and TV (32a Khoroshevskoye Shosse) on May 25-27, 2022. The format of participation: direct and on-line

 

The Conference deals with the territorial problems of culture and art, reflection of the geographical space in art, the role of local environment factors in the formation of art schools and artworks. It will focus on such themes as artistic perception of the cultural landscape, the significance of art in the creation of a cultural landscape and image of the territory, space concept in works of art. The Conference will be accompanied by publication of the collected papers “Geography of Art”. The travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of the sending party.   

 

The Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee is Olga Lavrenova, Doctor of Philosophy, PhD in Geography, Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, leading researcher of INION RAS, Professor of GITR and MICIS, President of the International Association of Semiotics of Space and Time.

 

Please, mail your applications and abstracts of papers (not more than 1 page) till March 30, 2022 to olgalavr@mail.ru. The time limit of papers – 20 minutes. You will be advised on your inclusion into the Conference Program not later than April 25, 2022
