TEXTILE ART TODAY. THE SUBJECTIVE VIEW OF AN EYEWITNESS: PANEL DISCUSSION AT THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS

The Department of Decorative Art of the Russian Academy of Arts invites you to attend the panel discussion “Textile Art Today. The Subjective View of an Eyewitness”, that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts on February 6, 2020 at 15.00 where the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Natalia Muradova will share her impressions on the 16th International Lodz Tapestry Triennial.
The International Tapestry Triennial “Breaching Borders” is being held in Lodz (Poland) from October 5, 2019 till March 15, 2020 and is the major and most prestigious in the world exhibition of textile art. Since 1975 it has been also a competition involving participants from around the world. The International Jury awards one gold (Grand Prix), two silver and three bronze medals, as well as honorary titles. Of major recognition is a medal of the Central Museum of Textile Industry in Lodz awarded by a special jury consisting of the Museum’s officers.
The after-competition exhibition of the International Lodz Tapestry Triennial and numerous related invents are a perfect meeting platform for artists of diverse cultures and generations.
