ART AND AUTHORITIES: INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE IN SARATOV

The Volga Region Department of the Russian Academy of Arts and Alexander Radischev Saratov State Art Museum invite you to take part in the 6th International Research Conference “Art and Authorities” that will take place in Saratov on October 16-18, 2019. The Conference is being held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Government of the Saratov Region and will be accompanied by the Festival of Contemporary Art “Dialogues with the Classics”.

The main topics to be discussed:
-The Russian Academy of Arts in the Context of Structural Reorganization;
-Digital Technologies and Evolution of the Art Language;
-Art Studies and Interdisciplinary Discourse;
-Politization of Art: the Pros and Cons;
-Subjects, Objects and Practices of the Cultural Policy;
-Innovation Models of Art Education;
-The City as an Aesthetical and Social Phenomenon (Authorities and the Environment).

The Conference format includes holding of a Plenary and sectional sessions, the Festival of Contemporary Art “Dialogue with the Classics”, panel discussions, open lectures, master classes, presentations of exhibitions and art projects, visiting session to the city of Engels (Saratov Region).

The participation in the Conference is free of charge. The Organizing Committee will provide assistance in hotel reservation (send your passport data, type of the room, dates of arrival and departure).  The Organizing Committee is not responsible for travelling, hotel and other expenses.  
          
PAPERS

The applicants should submit papers of scientific and practical significance that have never been published till September 15, 2019. Applications should be registered simultaneously with the registration of participants. The decisions relating to the papers’ inclusion into the Conference program shall be made by the Organizing Committee and the Organizers are entitled to reject the submitted papers if they do not comply with the Conference topic, are executed improperly or received after the deadline, as well as to present some materials as posters (without lecturing) (Annex 2 – Rules for Papers Execution https://yadi.sk/i/dpB77rt0oA4QPw). The papers approved by the Organizing Committee will be recommended for publication in the Conference Proceedings.
