The President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli Presented Awards to Graduates of the Academy’s Creative Workshops
On March 29, 2017 at the awards ceremony in the Russian Academy of Arts the President of the Academy Zurab Tsereteli presented awards to graduates and trainees of the RAA Creative Workshops for their involvement in a number of major successful exhibition projects including “The Teachers and Pupils”, “From Word to Image”, exhibitions in Kazan and Simpheropol organized in 2014-2016 by the Creative Workshops.
The Creative Workshops of the Russian Academy of Arts is a higher stage of the three-level system of the academic art education in Russia. Initiated by the distinguished Russian masters of the 20th century, they were set up in 1947 to offer an opportunity for gifted young artists-graduates of art schools and institutes to improve their skills in painting, graphic art, sculpture, theater design and architecture. The Creative Workshops are efficient laboratories to experiment in various techniques and materials, to study the experience of recognized masters. The annual exhibitions of their graduates and trainees are an excellent start for their future careers.
