Exhibition of Sculpture at the Central House of Architects
The Union of Moscow Architects and Russian Academy of Arts invite you to attend the opening of the sculpture exhibition that will take place at the Central House of Architects (7 Granatny Pereulok, building 1) on December 1, 2015 at 16.00.
The open air exposition features works by eminent sculptors who are renowned figures in modern culture: Zurab Tsereteli, Alexander Rukavishnikov, Georgi Frangulyan, Natalia Opiok, Leonid Baranov, Mikhail Pereyaslavets, Vladimir Soskiev, Dmitry Tugarinov, Alexander Burganov, Victor Korneev, Mikhail Dronov, Vladimir Kolesnikov, Razmik Muradyan, Alexander Tsygal, Alexander Provotorov, Vadim Kirillov.
All of them are masters with their distinguished styles. In their works they reincarnate motifs from different times adding new meanings peculiar to modern art. For the first time on display will be a 3-D head of the Roman gladiator Spartak created by Alexander Rukavishnikov, the young “Winner in the Race” by Mikhail Pereyaslavets, nudes by Victor Korneev combining reality and metaphysics and works by other sculptors.
The exhibition in the Central House of Architects is a good opportunity for promoting a dialogue between the Academy’s sculptors and architectural professional community. The art show is aimed at presenting to the viewer a synthesis of arts resulting from the creative partnership of architects and sculptors who through their joint efforts are looking for new ways to improve the city environment.
The opening ceremony will be attended by the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, President of the Union of Moscow Architects Nickolai Shumakov, Moscow sculptors and artists.
