Modern Art as a Major Factor of Russian Culture Development: Symposium in Nizhni Novgorod
On June 5, 2015 in Nizhni Novgorod there was an opening ceremony for the Arsenal exhibition complex attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Olga Golodets, Culture Minister Vladimir Medinsky and Governor of the Nizhni Novgorod Region Valeri Shantsev.
The Arsenal exhibition complex is a Volga-Vyatka Affiliate of the State Center for Modern Art. The attendees visited the exposition entitled The Museum of Big Hopes and launched a two-day symposium “Modern Art as a Major Factor of Russian Culture Development” which participants included the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery Zelfira Tregulova, Director of A. Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts Marina Loshak.
