ART – SCIENCE – MEDICINE: PHENOMENON OF ART THERAPY -

The Russian Academy of Arts and UNESCO International Chair for Fine Arts and Architecture invite you to attend the research conference “Art – Science - Medicine: Phenomenon of Art Therapy” that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on March 12-13, 2014.

The Conference is aimed at providing a discussion platform for analysis and comprehension of the formation and development stages of art therapy in Russia taking into account the international experience, role of private initiatives and foundations in the promotion of this direction.

The Conference will be attended by leading art therapeutists from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kazan including A.I. Kopytin – Doctor of Medicine, Professor of the Chair for Psychology of St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education, Head of the Art and Therapeutic Association; V.N. Nikitin – Head of the Chair for Philosophical Anthropology and Art Therapy of the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy; V.V. Gavrilov – Head of “Isotera” Studio, Vice-President of SIPE-AT (International Society for Psychopathology of Expression and Art Therapy, guest of honor Peter Tsanev, Professor of the National Academy of Arts in Sophia (Bulgaria), artist, author of the monograph “Art and Psychoanalysis” .

The Conference is accompanied by an exhibition of children’s works entitled “I am in a Home” organized under the auspices of the “Give a Life” Foundation headed by Chulpan Khamatova, master classes and show of scientific and documentary films.
