Award Ceremony at the Russian Academy of Arts
At the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts on June 11, 2013 members of the Presidium congratulated the Vice-President of the Academy, People’s Artist of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan Tair Salakhov who had been awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation for his significant contribution to the promotion of fine arts.
The regalia of an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts were presented to the designer Irina Bondar (Russia); painter and Vice-President of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia (the South Region) Alexander Rubets (Russia); Honored Artist of Russia, sculptor Sergey Isakov (Russia).
The President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli presented the high Order of the Russian Academy of Arts “For Services to Art” to the Metropolitan Illarion (Alfeev) for his involvement in the Academy’s project “Art and Religion in the Space of Modern Culture”. The Gold Medal of the Russian Academy of Arts was presented to the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Adolf Lokhin. Students of the Moscow Academy Art Lyceum were awarded the Academy’s medal “For Achievements in Study” (2013).
