The Picture Gallery in Naberezhnye Chelny, the second largest city in the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia) presents almost one hundred works by the People’s Artist of the USSR and the Russian Federation, President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli.
The exhibition has been organized by the Russian Academy of Arts, the City Hall of Naberezhnye Chelny and Kamsky Institute of Art and Design. At the opening ceremony on March 30, 2012 the Director of the Picture Gallery Flera Gainutdinova thanked the Mayor Vasil Shaikhraziev who had invited the renowned artist to Naberezhnye Chelny and noted, that the exhibition would be a rare opportunity for residents of the city to get acquainted with all the facets of the master’s talent. For the first time on display are two sculptural models of the monument to Genghis Khan – Supreme Khan of the Mongol Empire.
