The Russian Academy Of Arts

At the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts on May 24, 2011 the highest award of the Russian Academy of Arts – the Golden Cross for Services to Art was presented to the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of the USSR and the Russian Federation Zurab Tsereteli; Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Gennady Pravotorov; Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of North Ossetia and People’s Artist of South Ossetia Ushang Kozaev.

Zurab Tsereteli officially thanked the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Sergi Shagulashvili for the arrangement and holding of a conference commemorating the 500th anniversary of Giorgio Vasari (1511-1574), Italian painter, architect and art historian.
