The Russian Academy Of Arts

At the award ceremony on May 13, 2011 the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli presented the regalia of an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts to the eminent statesman, Great Chancellor of the French National Order of the Legion of Honor Jean-Louis Georgelin and Her Royal Highness Princess of Orleans Chantal de France for the promotion of humanitarian cooperation and strengthening of cultural ties between Russia and France.

In his speech Mr. Jean-Louis Georgelin has expressed his gratitude for the big honor which is also an incentive for his further study of Russian culture and art. Princess Chantal de France (painter) thanked the Academy for the high appreciation of her contribution that was unexpected to her.

The regalia of an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts have been also presented to the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Fadeev who noted, that as a former Russian Ambassador to France he knows how much in France are appreciated the creative work of Zurab Tsereteli and his constant efforts aimed at closer cultural relations between Russia and France.
