The Lyceum’s Day

In 1992 the Moscow Secondary Art School was renamed into the Moscow Academy Art Lyceum. It became a good tradition to celebrate every year on October 19 the Lyceum’s Day when the fifth-year pupils officially become the Lyceum’s students. This year the ceremony will be held at the Russian Academy of Arts in the “Apple” hall, 19 Prechistenka street, at 11 am. It will also be accompanied by an opening of the exhibition of works produced by senior students during their practice and study of art in Italy.

The trip to Italy was sponsored by the Borodin Meat House Company supporting the revival of classical art and the Academy traditions. On show are more than 200 works executed in various techniques: watercolor; tempera; pastel; gouache; Indian ink; charcoal; lead pencil; sepia.
