The Russian Academy Of Arts

During her official visit to Russia the UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova visited the Russian Academy of Arts where she met with the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli. The Russian Academy of Arts and UNESCO reached an agreement on collaboration within the framework of the Academy’s program of fundamental researches: Humanistic Fundamentals and Social Functions of Art.

For her significant role in the promotion of intercultural relations between UNESCO and Russia Irina Bokova was elected an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Zurab Tsereteli presented her with the regalia of the Honorary Member.
