The Highest Award of the Republic of North Ossetia “To the Glory of Ossetia” Was Presented to Zurab Tsereteli for His Monument to Victims of Beslan

On July 6, 2010 the Plenipotentiary of the Republic of North Ossetia under the Russian President Alexander Totoonov presented the highest award of the Republic of North Ossesia-Alania - “To the Glory of Ossetia” to the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli for his monument to victims of Beslan. The monument was unveiled on June 1, 2010 in the downtown of Moscow in front of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin at Kulishki, 5/2 Solyanka street.

The Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, architect Alexander Mirianashvili, the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, architect Zurab Mardakhiashvili received an honorable mention from the President of the Republic of North Ossetia Teimuraz Mamsurov for their involvement in the concept design of the monument.
