The Russian Academy Of Arts

The monument to the founder of the Ossetic literature, poet, sculptor and artist Kosta Hetagurov (1859-1906) was unveiled at the entrance to the Central Park in Vladikavkaz, capital of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania on April 23, 2010. It has been designed by the noted Russian sculptor, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Vladimir Soskiev.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by the Head of the Parliament of the North Ossetia-Alania Larisa Habitsova, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Sergei Takoev, Russian President’s Plenipotentiary in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Alexander Totoonov, figures of arts and culture.
