The Russian Academy Of Arts

On  June 2, 2009 at the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts Felix Unger, President of the European Academy of Arts (Salzburg, Austria) and People’s Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoy were presented with attributes of the Honorary Members of the Russian Academy of Arts.

 

Dr. Felix Unger, who is also a renowned heart surgeon, has thanked for the honor to be an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He has noted, that members of his family are participating in art,  and “searches in science and art are identical, as it is a search for truth. Both science and art serve for the benefit of a human being, and each of us has his own way of finding this truth”. 

 

Felix Unger visited Tsereteli Art Gallery and a solo exhibition of works by Zurab Tsereteli  in the State Tretyakov Gallery.

 

The People’s Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoy has expressed his gratitude for the high appreciation of his contribution to art and the honorary title of the Russian Academy of Arts. 

 

On March 3, 2009 Zurab Tsereteli was elected an Active Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (Salzburg, Austria).
