The Russian Academy Of Arts

On June 2, 2009 at the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts  Professor Dmitry Shvidkovsky was presented with “Shuvalov” honorary medal of the Russian Academy of Arts.  In his telegram the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev appreciated the significant contribution of Dmitry Shvidkovsky as a prominent scientist to the history and theory of architecture.

 

“You enjoy immense authority with your colleagues and scientists. Your fundamental works have provided a possibility to take a new look at the ways of contemporary art development and emergence of its new forms” – runs the telegram.    

 

Many noted artists and figures of arts have congratulated Dmitry Shvidkovsky on his jubilee. The Chairman of the Russian Artists’ Union Andrei Kovalchuk presented Dmitry Shvidkovsky with a Gold Medal  for “his significant role in the promotion of Russian fine arts”.
