Zurab Tsereteli Was Included In the Coordination Council For the Program of Fundamental Researches

According to RIA Novosti reports,  on September 23, 2008  the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin approved the staff of the Coordination  Council for the 2008-2012 Program of Fundamental Researches of the state academies of sciences. The appropriate Order was published on www.government.ru.

As it is provided in the Order of the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the Coordination Council is Yuri Osipov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), his deputy is Alexander Nekipelov, Vice-President of  RAS.

The Coordination Council also includes a number of other representatives of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in particular,  Victor Sadovnichy, Vice-President of RAS, rector of the Moscow State University; chairmen of the Siberian, Urals and Far East Departments of RAS.  Among the members of the Coordination Council are heads of state academies: Zurab Tsereteli, President of the Russian Academy of Arts; Presidents of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences; the Russian Academy of Education; the Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The 2008-2012 Program of Fundamental Sciences was approved by the Russian Government in the February of 2008 and provides appropriations in the amount of 250 billion roubles.
