The Patriarch’s Diploma Was Awarded to Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Nicholai Vdovkin

The Patriarch’s diploma has been awarded to the Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts for his contribution to recreation of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kislovodsk. The master headed a team of artists who painted the alter.

The Cathedral was consecrated on May 22, 2008, the memorial day of St. Nicholas the Wonder-Worker and the liturgy was conducted by Mitropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk.

St. Nicholas Cathedral in Kislovodsk has been reconstructed on the site of the original Cathedral demolished in 1936.
