The Russian Academy Of Arts

On April 3, 2008 the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, designer of the Wives of the Decembrists. Gates of Fate monument Zurab Tsereteli hosted a meeting with descendents of the Decembrists in Tsereteli Art Gallery.  The monument was presented to the public on March 17, 2008 and had a wide coverage in the press.

It was attended by Alexander K. Naryzhkin (descendent of M. Naryzhkin), Eleonora B. Likhareva (descendent of  B. Likharev), Marina Y. Volkova (descendent of A. Muraviev), Inna L. Skatkina (descendent of S. Raech), Andrei G. Kolosovski (descendent of A. Obolenski and P. Kashkin), Victoria V. Markova (descendent of A. Rosen), Irina A. Kondareva-Odoevskaya (descendent of A. Odoevski) and others. Among those present were representatives of the  Decembrists’ Legacy Association,  Courage and Humanism Union, as well as other public societies.

This meeting has become one of the significant events within the framework of the action initiated by the Courage and Humanism International Union, Slavomir International Foundation and  the Decembrists’ Legacy Association.
