Presentation of New Works by Vasili Nesterenko and Album “Vasili Nesterenko. Painting” in the Tsaritsyno Museum
On October 31, 2007 there was a presentation of eight portraits of the most distinguished figures of Catherine the Great’s time by the People’s Artist of Russia, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Vasili Nesterenko in the Tsaritsyno Museum in Moscow. The centerpiece is the painting “Triumph of Catherine”.
The album “Vasili Nesterenko. Painting” includes the artist’s works of various periods as well as fragments of his murals in big Russian cathedrals. Vasili Nesterenko has created huge wall paintings in the revived Cathedral of Christ the Savior, in the Cathedral of Assumption in Dmitrov, several monumental historical canvases.
