Zurab Tsereteli Received Appreciation For His Promoting the Moscow Program “Year of Child” in UNESCO Headquarters in Paris

     The Russian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to UNESCO Vladimir Kalamanov thanked  the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli for fostering the presentation of the Moscow program “Year of Child”  in support of maternity and childhood held in the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris on September 23-27,2007.
     In his letter of gratitude dated September 1, 2007 it is, in particular, stated: “The master classes for young artists held by you have been not only of great success, but also proved once more the high skills and warm-heartedness of the big Master and Russian UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador. I am confident, that not in the last place and mostly due to your substantial assistance the presentation  of the program “Year of Child”  has created both the favorable background on the eve of the 177th session of the Executive Council and 34th session of the General Conference of the Organization and additional positive impulse for  promoting strong linkage between Russia and UNESCO”.
