The Russian Academy Of Arts

June 20, 2007 – On the territory of the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was unveiled a monument to the Soldier of Law and Order designed by People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Anatoli Bichukov. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Rashid Nurgaliev, heads of departments and services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The monument represents a bronze policeman in the uniform embracing a small boy’s shoulders who is in need of his protection. 

Rashid Nurgaliev appreciated the sculptor’s statue and called the monument an “eloquent symbol of policemen’s heroism and immovability of kindness and justice” – reports ITAR-TASS.
