Zurab Tsereteli was awarded with the order of Russian Orthodox Church

On October, 19, 2006 in the Portrait Hall of Saint-Petersburg Eparchial Administration President of Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli was awarded with the order of Russian Orthodox Church for the contribution to the restoration of the triumphal column “Military Glory”.

Triumphal column “Military Glory” is the symbol of national dignity of Russian army. It forms with the Izmailovsky Cathedral of Saint Trinity one of the most beautiful military and historical ensembles of Saint-Petersburg. This monument was created in honour of the victory of our army in Russian-Turkish War.
