MEMBERS OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS PARTICIPATED IN THE EXHIBITION “THE GREEK WORLD. IMMERSION. RUSSIA AND GREECE THROUGH CENTURIES” IN MOSCOW

The exhibition “The Greek World. Immersion. Russia and Greece Through Centuries”  is one of the key exhibitions of the joint project of the same name of the Greek Cultural Center in Moscow  and the Moscow Union of Artists included in the official program of events for the Cross Year of History of Russia and Greece. The display comprises the best canvases from two plain-air projects “Odyssey for Penelope” and “Mount Athos” implemented by the Moscow artists from 2016 to 2021.  

The viewers will be able to dive into the history of Greece and to be inspired by works of painting, sculpture, graphics, decorative and applied arts, photography. Among the participants of this large-scale exhibition are members of the Russian Academy of Arts: A.G. and P.A. Arzumanidis, V.N. Razgulin, I.A. Starzhenetskaya, N.V. Glebova, I.M. Glukhova, M.A. Kabysh, A.P. Smolenkov, A.V. Balashov, S.G. Milchenko and others. Of major interest are canvases of the Academician V.A. Kulakov (1939-2017) created by the artist during his trip to the Mount Athos. The exhibition is a good proof of the spiritual and cultural unity of Russia and Greece.
