The First Impression: Exhibition of Works by the First-Year Students of I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in Mikhailovskoye

The “The First Impression” show in the Research and Cultural Center of the “Mikhailovskoye” State Museum-Preserve of A.S. Pushkin includes 81 paintings and 29 graphic works that are a result of the traditional summer practice of the first-year students of I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in the Pushkin Museum-Preserve.

This year it is the 57th summer practice. Forty eight future painters and graphic artists have perfected their skills and painted plain-air studies in the museums-estates and in the outskirts of Mikhailovskoe, Petrovskoye and Trigorskoye. Of special interest for them was a new museum of peasant life “Watermill in the Village of Bugrovo”.

In September the works will be on display in the exhibition halls of I. Repin Institute in St. Petersburg.
