Solo Show of Paintings by Nickolai Blokhin at the Academy Museum in St. Petersburg

The celebrated St. Petersburg artist Nickolai Blokhin is a world recognized master of portrait painting. He is a holder of the two most prestigious art prizes of the United States: Grand Prize at the 2002 competition of the American Society of Portrait Artists (ASOPA) and Best of Show Award at the International Portrait Competition (2004) of the Portrait Society of America (PSA).

 

A graduate of I. Repin St. Petersburg State Academy Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Nickolai Blokhin is a distinguished contemporary master of drawing and painting. He is a winner of many national prizes and awards whose works are in collections of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan, the Polytechnical Museum in Moscow, Moscow Parliament Center and private collections.

 

He has exhibited his works in Moscow and St. Petersburg, over thirty solo shows  and masterclasses by Nickolai Blokhin were held in the United States, including New York, Chicago, Boston, San Francisco,  Los Angeles, Santa Fe, Las Vegas and other cities.

 

The solo exhibition at the Academy Museum in St. Petersburg presents well-known and recent works by the painter highlighting his extraordinary professional skills, painting culture and original pictorial manner.
