Retrospective of Graphic Art by the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Felix Belsky (1929-2009)

The retrospective at the Russian Academy of Arts is devoted to the memory of the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy Felix Belsky (1929-2009) and features his paintings and graphic works.

 

Felix Belsky was born in 1929 in Tyumen region.  He took interest in the fine arts during his holiday at the Artek International Children’s Center in the Crimea where he met with students and teachers of the Moscow Secondary Art School. Felix Belsky graduated from V. Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute where he majored in graphic art under the noted master Eugene Kibrik. Later he taught classic drawing and plastic anatomy at his Alma Mater and V. Lenin Moscow State Teachers’ Training Institute.

 

The highlights of the retrospective are portraits of the artist’s contemporaries. A special place in his portrait gallery belongs to his wife and muse, art historian  Anna Agamirova.
