Zurab Tsereteli Opened His Solo Show in Krasnodar
Today, on October 30, Zurab Tsereteli, President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of Russia and Georgia opened his solo exhibition in F. Kovalenko Krasnodar Regional Art Museum.
“Exhibitions of my works are simultaneously being held in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhni Novgorod and other cities, that is why on display in each city are various pictures and sculptures. I want viewers of these shows to feel my individual manner and personal impressions” – said Zurab Tsereteli at the press-conference.
Tsereteli’s response to the reporters’ question how he had managed to achieve the unsurpassed craftsmanship was: “Solely through work. Some people hurry to the baths in the morning and I hurry to my studio” (Even during the press-conference Tsereteli was making drawings in his album).
As it has already been reported in the “Live Kuban”, the exhibition features the master’s monumental and easel sculptures, enamels, serigraphs, canvases and graphic works.
