Solo Show of Paintings by Olga Zhilinskaya in the Russian Academy of Arts

The exhibition features paintings and graphic works of various years by the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Olga Zhilinskaya. Of major interest are her works produced for the last five years characterizing a new stage in the artist’s creativity.

 

Born in a celebrated family of artists Dmitry and Nina Zhilinsky, whose works are in collections of many museums in Russia and other countries, Olga Zhilinskaya, who from her childhood witnessed the atmosphere of enthusiastic creative work and worship of physical and spiritual beauty, is in searches of her own comprehension of space, form and color.

 

Since graduating from V. Surikov Moscow Academy Art Institute under K.D. Tutevol in 1977, she has been a frequent exhibitor in Russia and other countries. Not rejecting traditional genre forms and love of live models, she is an artist of contemporary plastic thinking, her works full of associations are distinguished for their picturesqueness, compositional intrigue and special private intonations.  

 

Her paintings are in collections of museums of modern art in Moscow and Sochi, as well as in private collections in Russia, Canada, Luxemburg and other countries.
