Works by Zurab Tsereteli Are on Show in Nizhni Novgorod

Organized by the Government of Nizhni Novgorod Region, the Culture Department of Nizhni Novgorod Region, Russian Academy of Arts, the  exhibition in Nizhni Novgorod State Exhibition Hall  is a retrospective of works by President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of Russia, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Zurab Tsereteli.

The multi-sided talent of the prominent master has revealed itself in his large-scale sculptural complexes, huge monuments and noble statues, mosaic, stained glass, reliefs and round sculpture, painting, drawings, enamels.  Tsereteli’s unique works executed in various styles and media can be seen in streets and squares, state and public buildings of Moscow and other cities of Russia and  CIS countries, in many nations including the United States, France, Japan, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Israel, Syria, Uruguay, etc.

Characters of his works live in a world of the master’s boundless fantasy. Equally interested is the artist in the reality of life and the nature of subconsciousness. All his works are distinguished by the artist’s fundamental view of existence, expressive spirit, striking vigor and originality.

The solo exhibition presents over 200 works by the artist produced in various years including his recent paintings and drawings.
