The Exhibition of M.Abdullaev's Works

   On November, 20, 2006 the exhibition of works of the member of USSR Academy of Arts people’s artist of USSR Mikail Abdullaev took place in the halls of Russian Academy of Arts. It was dedicated to the 85-jubilee of the outstanding master.

   The exposition presented more than one hundred works painting and graphics from the collection of Moscow museums, museums and picture galleries of Azerbaijan and from from collection of the artist’s family. Along with the master’s famous canvases works of more chamber mood are shown.

   In his art master combines tradition of Russian classic school of painting and national peculiarities of Azerbaijan art.

 Original skill of the artist develops in all genres: landscape paintings, portraits, still-lives, thematic compositions. He created portraits of the outstanding persons of the publicity and figures of art and literature: I.Gandhi, Guttuzo, Moravia.

   The exhibition presents widely known pictouresque series “Over India”, which brought to the artist the Prize of Jawaharlal Neru. The series of Italian watercolours provokes doubtless interest.
