On July 26, 2013 the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky visited Tsereteli Art Gallery and Moscow studio of the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli. During the meeting they discussed the strategy of the development of art education in Russia, problems relating to the multi-sided activity of the Russian Academy of Arts as well as its partnership with the Russian Military History Society established according to the decree of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2013.
The Imperial Russian Military History Society was set up in 1907 and existed till the Revolution of 1917.

At the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts on June 11, 2013 members of the Presidium congratulated the Vice-President of the Academy, People’s Artist of the USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan Tair Salakhov who had been awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation for his significant contribution to the promotion of fine arts.

On June 7, 2013 in the city of Veria, near Thessaloniki, there will be an unveiling ceremony for the bronze monument to St. Paul the Apostle created by Zurab Tsereteli, the world renowned sculptor, People’s Artist of Russia, President of the Russian Academy of Arts. The event is a part of the program of the first visit of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill to Greece that played a significant role in the Christianization of Russia.
