LECTURES AS PART OF THE EXHIBITION PROJECT “THE BEAUTIFICATION OF THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. SAVA IN BELGRADE” IN THE MUSEUM AND EXHIBITION COMPLEX OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS

The Russian Academy of Arts in partnership with the Moscow International Foundation for Support to UNESCO present the research, education and exhibition project “The Beautification of the Cathedral of St. Sava in Belgrade” showcasing its implementation process. Since its foundation up to these days the Academy of Arts has been playing the leading role in the creation of major monuments in Russia and other countries. The beautification of the Cathedral of St Sava in Belgrade has become a new page both in the history of Christian art and contemporary art culture. The Project education program includes lectures dedicated to the history and traditions of the Russian monumental art, as well as master classes in mosaic making to be given by the artists-participants of the mosaic interior decoration of the Cathedral of St. Sava in Belgrade.

 

The lectures will take place in the “Home Church” hall of the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts (19 Prechistenka street, Moscow). The lectures are attended with an entrance ticket to the Museum and Exhibition Complex.
