The Architecture Department of the Russian Academy of Arts invites you to take part in the research conference “The Art of Restoration. Preservation of the Cultural Heritage: Residences of Russian Monarchs”, that will take place in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow) on December 13, 2023.

 

The Conference deals with the restoration of residences of Russian monarchs, their status quo and prospects of their preservation. The Conference participants including representatives of the state entities, creative associations, specialists in restoration and Doctors of Architecture will share their experience in restoration of historical monuments of architecture and discuss the problems of preservation of the cultural heritage sites.

The topics to be discussed:

-restoration in the historical perspective;

-problems of restoration of the objects of cultural heritage;

-today’s methods of restoration, restoration of the lost heritage;

-analysis of practical developments in the restoration of residences and estates on the basis of international experience.
