The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Arts and the State Vladimir-Suzdal History, Architecture and Art Museum-Preserve invite you to take part in the Research Conference “In Honor of the 1000th Anniversary of Suzdal. Yaroslav the Wise. Yury the Long Arm. The History of the City through Art”, that will take place in the Cross Chamber of the Suzdal Kremlin on October 12-13, 2023.

 

The millennium of the city of Suzdal is a remarkable date for Russia. The core of the Golden Ring, Suzdal is a city-museum and city-preserve. Its white stone churches, monasteries, secular and residential architecture form a unique ensemble reflecting the course of history. Architects and icon painters have greatly contributed to beautification of the city and the epic spirit of the country has been preserved until these days. Suzdal has become a mecca for creative people of many generations including both noted masters and young artists. The State Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Preserve is a precious repository of ancient treasures.
