The President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli and the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts have congratulated Ilya Glazunov, the world renowned artist, People’s Artist of the USSR and Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Rector of I. Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, Winner of the RF State Prize on his 85th anniversary and wished him good health, prosperity and success.

It is hard to overestimate his enormous contribution to the training and upbringing  of young artists to which the master devotes many efforts and time. The world recognized artist, talented teacher, eminent public figure, a man of encyclopedic knowledge Ilya Glazunov through his wisdom and spiritual generosity has won the overall love and respect. His life has become a feat of selfless service to the Motherland and Russian art.
