The Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the People’s Artist of Russia, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts Ivan Lubennikov on his 60th anniversary.

The telegram, in particular, runs:
“Dear Ivan Leonidovich,

I would like to extend to you my congratulations and best wishes on your 60th jubilee. You belong to the galaxy of distinguished contemporary painters whose works are in collections of major museums of fine arts in Russia and other countries. Your original creative talent has brilliantly revealed itself both in the artistic decoration of Orthodox churches, Moscow subway stations and in the design of V. Mayakovsky State Museum.

I wish you health, prosperity and success”.
