Monument to the First Russian President Boris Yeltsin Was Unveiled in Ekaterinburg

On February 1, 2011 in Ekaterinburg there was an unveiling ceremony for the monument to the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin attended by the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev. The monument has been designed by the Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Georgi Frangulyan.

The sculptor noted, that the 10m high obelisk of white marble symbolizes the 1990s – the collapse of old views and the first step into a new life.
