The Highest Award of the Russian Academy of Arts “The Golden Cross” Was Presented to the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Georgi Frangulyan

The highest award of the Russian Academy of Arts “Golden Cross” was presented to the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Georgi Frangulyan at the session of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts. Georgi Frangulyan is a renowned sculptor whose works are installed in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, Belgium.

Among them are his monuments to Bulat Okudzhava in the Old Arbat street in Moscow, to the first President of the Russian Federation Boris Yeltsin in Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow, to Empress Elizabeth in Baltiysk, the Bark of Dante sculptural composition in Venice and many others. On February 1, in Ekaterinburg there was an unveiling ceremony for the monument to Boris Yeltsin designed by Georgi Frangulyan.
