Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Tair Salakhov Receives the CIS Stars of Commonwealth Award 2010

On April 9, in the Pashkov House of the Russian State Library in Moscow there was the first award ceremony for the CIS interstate award “Stars of Commonwealth” set up in 2008 by the CIS Council for Humanitarian Cooperation and CIS Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation. The award will be annually given in three nominations: achievements in science and education; achievements in culture and arts; achievements in humanitarian activity. The CIS Stars of Commonwealth Award 2010 has been presented to twelve winners from eight CIS countries.

The Vice President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People’s Artist of the USSR, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation Tair Salakhov was honored with the CIS Stars of Commonwealth Award 2010 for his significant contribution to the promotion of contemporary fine arts that has become a common legacy of peoples of CIS countries.
