President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli Took Part in the Round Table Discussion Between Intellectuals of Russia and Japan

     The Round Table Discussion between intellectuals of Russia and Japan within the framework of the Festival of Russian Culture in Japan -2007 was inaugurated in Tokyo on November 5,  2007.
     The forum was attended by eminent figures of culture, members of the Parliament, businessmen.  Among them were President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, Art Director of A. Pushkin Russian State Academic Drama Theatre, Director of the Museum-Preserve in Yasnaya Poliana (Russia) Vladimir Tolstoi, actress Komaki Kurikhara.
     Igor Romanenko, President of Russia-Japan Association,  highlighted the recent drastic growth in business and cultural contacts between the two countries. In view of the above, the Russian participants of the Round Table Discussion suggested an establishment of a continuing  Foundation for Economy and Culture on the basis of organizing committees of the afore-going Festival to promote bilateral relations both in culture and business.
