Return of the Boomerang: Paintings by Ivan Slavinsky

Tsereteli Art Gallery presents over 30 paintings by the well-known St. Petersburg artist Ivan Slavinsky. The centerpiece of the display is his work Return of the Boomerang.  Ivan Slavinsky works in the style defined by one of art critics as Fantastic Realism: new reality depicted by the artist through metaphors and plastic riddles.

Ivan Slavinsky was born in St. Petersburg in 1968.  His first personal show was held in the Gallery “Association of Freelances” in 1991. Later, he has been a frequent exhibitor in home and international exhibitions in Paris, Luxemburg, Dublin, Stockholm, Marseilles, Antwerp and other cities. In 2007, he opened SLAVINSKY Art Gallery in St. Petersburg containing a permanent exposition of his paintings.

Within the framework of the exhibition visitors will see an interactive project Guided Worlds.
