The delegation of the Russian Academy of Arts has come to China to take part in the arrangement of events within the framework of the Cross Culture Year of Russia and China in honor of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and the People’s Republic of China. The representatives of the Russian Academy of Arts are negotiating cooperation agreements and organization of joint exhibitions. A major exhibition of works by Academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts in China has already been planned for August of 2024.
On June 20, 2024 the Executive Director of the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Vasily Tsereteli and the Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Sergi Shagulashvili together with the Art Director of the Center for Modern Art N 9 (Moscow) Zhang Guangyu and his assistant Anna Alpatova visited Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in Chongqing (China). They had an official meeting with the Sichuan Academy’s Director He Gu-Yan and got acquainted with the Museum of the Academy. The Russian representatives also visited the Research Center specializing in the study of various art directions, as well as the Faculties of Painting, Sculpture and Prints of the Institute of Fine Arts.
