THE DIALOGUE OF CULTURES: IN HISTORY AND TODAY. THE OVERVIEW OF ARTISTIC CONTACTS – RUSSIA AND ITALY: INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH CONFERENCE AT THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF ARTS

The Research Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts of the Russian Academy of Arts invites you to take part in the International Research Conference “The Dialogue of Cultures: In History and Today. The Overview of Artistic Contacts – Russia and Italy”, that will take place on November 16-18, 2022 in the White Hall of the Russian Academy of Arts (21 Prechistenka street, Moscow), as well as in Zoom and You Tube.

 

The main topics to be discussed:

- Comparative analysis of artistic phenomena in the art of Russia and Italy in the process of their cultural and historical development (XV – early XX century);

- The heritage of the medieval and Renaissance tradition in architecture, fine and decorative arts as a result of interaction of Italian and Russian art schools;

- Italian artists and architects in Russia: projects, exhibitions, events;

- Pensioners of the Imperial Academy of Arts in Italy;

- The Italian heritage in the academic education process in Russia;

- Italy in the Russian travelers’ notes, in the work of Russian artists, writers, cinema and theater producers;

- The contribution of Russian researchers to the study of Italian art and Italian researchers - to Russian art;

- Collections of Russian art in Italy and collections of Italian art in Russia.

 

The Conference will be accompanied by publication of its proceedings. The illustrations shall be submitted in the Power Point. The applications shall be mailed till June 1, 2022 to: nii-arts@yandex.ru and drevrus-niirah@yandex.ru
